Grand Hotel Spiaggia

Great experience at Grand Hotel Spiaggia in Alassio. The room was so spacefull and the view from the balcony made the ticket. Nice service and good food to the Six floor. Last day we went to the top floor to dinner and the atmosfere was so magic with candles and nice background music. Also the view was amazing. U can see all the coast from there. Thank you. 5 star We'll back soon.

A decent hotel. Pool and rooftop bar area is excellent. Breakfast good in a nice environment. My gluten free partner was well catered for, although on 1 day she was given moldy bread. That was unacceptable and they weren't particularly apologetic. Beach area is smart, 20 euro per person for a day's use in September is about typical for the area. The beach bar is a very good spot for lunch. Now, the downside - our room. We were given (I think), from memory, room 412. this should never be allowed in a 4 star hotel. We walked into total darkness when we arrived at 5PM. A tiny window facing the side street. A shower that leaks out the side. I'm glad we were a young couple who didn't wish to spend much time in the hotel. Have still given 4 stars as we were able to see into other people's rooms when the maid was doing the floor, and they looked far bigger, brighter and better.

The hotel location is very nice , the terrace on top is wonderful and great view, when it comes to services on it , very poor. The room was very clean , but very very small ( 106 ) there is no space to open 2 luggages unless you put them on the bed . Very uncomfortable to have breakfast with very little choice ( I don’t know if thats because of the covid restrictions or not ) but the pastries they old and ! Which is pity because the location and view in the restaurant is very nice . Would i go back again? Not really. RE: THE BASIC ROOM pictures are missing from other platforms of booking , very unprofessional response saying that i should choose more expensive room , 120 varieties of selections for breakfast including the chairs ? Wish u a very busy season , with bookings for the most expensive rooms available . 👍👍

5 stars for reception, lunch/dinner room and pastry lab (breakfast and desserts were very good). 4+ stars for restaurant (definitely better than last visits 1 and 2 years ago) 3 stars for room: skew window not closing (surely a problem in winter with cold breeze coming in) and curious temperature control with setpoint at 22 °C but effective room temperature at 29 °C.

There's only one thing to say: way too expensive for what they provide. absolutely everything is charged separately, even their own beach is charged for the hotel customers! our expenses were higher than the price for the room, without consumptios: a car, a dog and visiting the "private beach", thats all it takes... You want to spend a lot of money, don't expect anything in return and you love arrogant service? That's your place to go! I just don't understand the high ranking. Checked again and again, I'm rating the correct hotel...
